Zoë: Beetroot Chutney

We get a weekly organic vegetable box which is great most of the time, however recently we have ended up with more beetroot than we can use. To avoid wasting any of it I made some beetroot chutney. I used Nigella Lawson’s Beetroot and Ginger Chutney recipe from her Christmas book, this recipe is also ...

Granny Square Biscuits

Having already written about sewing biscuits last week I unexpectedly came across some granny square cookies. These biscuits are from Emily and Amy’s Treats and full instructions are available on their blog if, like me, you feel like trying to make some. Sewing Biscuits

I love these amazing biscuits from Biscuiteers, everything you would find in your sewing basket can be found in biscuit form. They are iced in lots of detail using lovely colours. The tin is really pretty too and would make a useful sewing box when you had eaten all the biscuits.

Meetup: Maple Leaf Workshop Part Two

On Wednesday, I ran the second part of the Maple Leaf Patchwork Workshop. It was a lovely evening, a little more relaxed than the first workshop. Top Tip Tuesday: DIY Cookie Cutters

One of my favourite elements of Everything Alice was the tutorial on DIY cookie cutters. Many a time have I cooed over pretty cookies, wishing that I had the appropriately shaped cutters to recreate them. Now I just raid my collection of cleaned, disposable tin trays (M&S ready-meal trays are of an ideal quality!) and ...

Caroline: Christmas Crafting

(Reposted via Caroline’s personal blog, second hand shopper) Well, I wanted to schedule this post to go live between Christmas and new year, but then there was the whole stranding thing, and everything got squidged into a ridiculously short time and, well, scheduled posts got lost at the bottom of the to-do-list-bucket. Still, better late ...
