Caroline: Coasters
I began making coasters as a way to use up scraps of leftover fabric from my stash. But it quickly became something of an obsession, and I’m now eagerly stash-busting in anticipation of the Vintage and Handmade Fair in March.
I found this lovely made with love ribbon in a crafting supplies shop in Callander last summer, and am only now coming to the end of it. I’ve now started using vintage ribbon scraps to create unity of design.
Because they’re made using scraps the sizes aren’t all uniform. This may prove problematic for some people, but for me it adds to the charm of hand-crafted goods!
